Reusable Straws….Are they for you?

As someone who is an up and coming actor and in the spotlight, we talk to Blaze about things that he should be proud of and a user of, before just accepting products to promote.  He is an avid animal lover, loves healthy things (although likes junk food here and there as well), and loves things that support saving our earth (especially the oceans).  Recently we found these reusable straws on Amazon and we really like them.  I like them because they’re not just hard plastic or hard metal.  They have rubber tips so I feel like it’s more of a straw.  It comes in a travel box with a little squeegee that helps keep it clean (unlike those other straws), quite a few colors, and it’s easy to put in my purse.

We decided to do some research and we found some interesting things we didn’t know.  Over 500,000,000 plastic straws are used each day in the United States. That’s enough straws to wrap around the world 2-1/2 times a day.  Most of them end in the ocean, killing marine life. If we don’t do something now, by the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.

Will our family save the planet with our 1 star per person?  Probably not, but if we don’t start with our kids, and teach them now, who will?

  • We were not compensated for these straws and these are the opinions of our family.  If you would like to get your own travel straw, you can start with Google and search for what meets the needs of what you want.
